Floyd Kindergartners worked together to prepare a Thanksgiving feast on Tuesday. Students practiced table manners and passing serving bowls to their classmates as they enjoyed their "family style" meal together.

Can we get a WOOT, WOOT?! Today, BCMS Student Council showed their gratitude and appreciation for all of our staff members with a little Woot Woot Wagon of goodies. The student’s not only decorate and deliver snacks, but they also hand write individual thank you cards to each and every staff member in our building. We were also so very fortunate to partner with Journey’s Coffeehouse, who provided us with delicious coffee! We are THANKFUL for our wonderful Creek Community! 🖤💛

Congratulations to all of the Creek Band students who performed in collegiate honor bands last weekend! The students put together a concert in TWO DAYS! Proud of you! Bullock Creek had six students make it, only one other school had as many students make it into EMU’s Honor band! There were also 2 Creekers who were top ranked in their sections: Clare Pelli, alto sax & Marc Woods, trombone!

This month our Board of Education recognized Jennifer Woods, Rob Taylor and Hollee Hart as Lancers Leaders. Each are so deserving! Congrats to 3 greats!

Michel Hupfer joined Mrs. Hupfer's class today at nature time. They learned that some birds migrate and some stay. They then created bird feeders out of pine cones for the birds that stay.

Mrs. Hedlund's class read information about turkeys, discussed what they read, and then gathered natural materials to create a representation of a turkey.

BC Equestrian State Champions participated in today's Santa Parade.

Mrs. Hedlund's Kindergarten scientists at BCEL built hibernating bear dens as a STEM/nature project this week!

Ms. Allie from Chippewa Nature Center taught Mrs. Carey's class all about turkeys. They finished their lesson with a fun turkey obstacle course.

Mrs. McGuire and Mrs. Stark's classes took advantage of the warm weather and did some guided exploration using water. They used their engineering skills to divert water, tested the buoyancy of objects, and developed their understanding of capacity and volume.

In recognition of National Kindness Week, yesterday was Step Up & Stand Out: Crazy Socks Day at Pine River Elementary. It's a visual reminder for each one of us to be an up-stander by stepping up and saying something when we see or hear someone being unkind.

Dr. Bob Strom visited a fifth grade classroom at Pine River Elementary to discuss elements, energy and matter. Science Bob brought some neat experiments that got the students excited about science. We look forward to future visits!
