Good morning Bullock Creek. The Bullock Creek School District is in session today (1/6/22). Some roads are slick in spots, please allow extra time on your morning commute.
Five awesome Bullock Creek High School Alumni visited with students from English 11 and English 12 classes. Aubrey Brown (2019 grad and SVSU junior), Addi Buda (2021 grad and Delta freshman), Rylie Kalina (2017 grad and Davenport Master's Degree), Sam Midkiff (2021 grad and Purdue freshman), and Kaylee Monville (2021 grad and EMU freshman) shared their experiences and advice for college with the students.
Creekers for a Cause donated over 15 pairs of waterproof gloves and mittens, hats, and knitted gloves to our nature program. Having warm outdoor gear is an important part of ensuring our students have positive learning experiences outdoors. We are grateful for their donation.

This week, 6th, 7th and 8th grade art students created miniature gingerbread houses. They sketched designs based on donated supplies then built their house around a recycled milk carton. Finally, they decorated their festive houses (and ate a few treats along they way)!

What a special day for Floyd Elementary students and staff! We were treated to a holiday concert put on by Mrs. B and the BCHS band at the auditorium. Thank you for adding to our festive mood and the chance to practice being a respectful member of an audience. We loved it all!

A huge shout out to the BC/PR PTO for purchasing a book for the Pine River Elementary's first trimester Lancer Super Stars.

Nothing gets you in the Holiday spirit like the best Holiday concert ever! Wonderful performance Creek Bands!

BCMS Spreads Holiday Cheer! BCMS Student Council completed their annual community service project this week. Students delivered holiday gift baskets to MidMichigan Medical Center on Thursday to show their thanks and appreciation for their hard work taking care of our community. Students filled the baskets with energizing snacks and homemade ornaments for the nurses, doctors and hospital staff. They had a wonderful time spreading holiday cheer to well deserving people at the hospital!

We loved having Deacon O. visit school today!

Congratulations to Gerard Wauldron! He was awarded a grant from the Longuski-Carter branch of Meemic Insurance. The plan for these funds is to provide two media outlets within Bullock Creek Middle School to display announcements and other things throughout the day.

Mrs. Griggs and the Pine River fifth grade music classes performed at the Christmas Walk at Dow Gardens on Thursday, December 8. The students did an amazing job. Thank you, Mrs. Griggs, for organizing this opportunity for the students.
Let’s play some basketball! Last home game for these girls!

Mrs. Reid's kindergarteners are building numbers to 10.

Physics students got to play tug of war while we were talking about Newton’s laws and the forces that help you win.

Congratulations to BCEL’s Magen Lombard on being WIOGs teacher of the month! Mrs. Lombard was nominated by her student, Noah Melder.

Through the program, Salmon in the Classroom, sponsored by Great Lakes Steelheaders of the Bay Region, Fifth Grade teacher, Mrs. Dubuque, has brought the program to Pine River Elementary for the past 11 years. The students look forward to watching the salmon go through the life cycle and fifth graders will release the fish into the Chippewa River in the spring. Can you guess how many eggs are in the tank?
