Last week, BCHS student, June Mushfield, graduated from Michigan State Police Law Enforcement Academy. She was one of only fourteen high school students who successfully completed the program, was elected orator for commencement by her classmates, and chosen as the graduate who would make the "best partner" by training officers. Congratulations, June!

Congratulations to our BCHS Varsity Softball team who won their first district title since 2009 this past weekend. Our team will be departing at 8:15 this Saturday morning, June 7th, to begin the journey to Houghton Lake High School, host of the Division 3 regionals. Any community member wanting to wish our ladies luck as they depart is invited for a community send-off that will occur at 8:00 Saturday in the BCHS front parking lot. Game times at Houghton Lake are at noon vs Pine River with the regional final at 2:00 vs the Clare/Standish winner. Tickets are available only through gofan.co

This was from an activity called Swiftie synthesis… The freshman bio were working with DNA transcribing to RNA translating to amino acids to create proteins for traits… They got to look at Taylor Swift’s genetics and see what kind of offspring would be created if she were to end up with one of her previous boyfriends and their genetics… students had a lot of fun and got to practice these concepts for their assessment.

Bullock Creek Seniors walked through the halls of their elementary schools one last time before they become BC Alums.  Cheering and fist bumping elementary students welcomed our seniors with special, homemade posters and lots of smiles.
