This week, AP Bio students wrapped up their elementary visits at Pine River!!! The High Schoolers brought the “Bird Beak Challenge” to the 4th graders and this lesson did not disappoint :). Students learned the importance of adaptations and how they can lead to a species evolving… Then everyone enjoyed a yummy treat!!! Thank you Mrs. Elliott and Mrs. Shunn for letting us be a part of your class!!!

Friday, May 15th @ Midland Tennis Center - Girls’ tennis qualified for states winning their needed 10 points. The girls crossed off a fun count down. States are again at the Tennis Center in Midland on Wednesday & Thursday, May 27th & 28th. Last year at doubles Sophie Stern was undefeated with her partner and this year continues her streak as a singles player. Good luck this week!
Students walked the red carpet and celebrated the premiere of their Catcher in the Rye film trailers at the 8th Annual Honors 10 Academy Awards.
Human Anatomy has been busy, completing a great first week of pig dissections!!! Students discovered the similarities between pigs and humans while examining the external features, along with the respiratory, digestive and urinary systems. Stay tuned for the final week, fearing more learning and a guest teacher :).
Congratulations to our 2026 Bullock Creek High school graduating class. Our tour through the elementary buildings and middle school this morning was a wonderful trip down memory lane.

AP Bio hit the road again to work with BCEL students. This time it was second grade, with a fun environmental science lesson!!! Students reviewed the importance clean water and worked as a team to engineer an effective water filtration device. Thank you Mrs. Dopp and Mrs. Boothe, for a great day with your students!!!
Students in the high school leadership class spent time working to clean up the school’s landscaping. With hard work, persistence, and donations of gloves and tools from our local Ace hardware in downtown Midland, the crew raked, mulched and weeded, leaving the grounds looking good for summer.
PeerLIFT & CO volunteered at The Children's Grief Center's Grit Your Grief 5k run this weekend. I'm not sure who had more fun!
AP Biology went to visit Floyd Elementary this week. The high schoolers planned lessons and activities, to share their love of science and everyone had a great time :). The Kindergarteners learned about DNA and traits, while 1st graders learned about mammals and reptiles… Thank you Floyd Teachers for sharing your student with us!!!
We’d like to thank the HBA for coming to site and celebrating our 2nd year Building Trades students. Marcus Bridson, Spencer Jacovitch and Asa Dame. Each received a Milwaukee drill set from the HBA for choosing to enroll in the building trades program the last two years.
The Class of 2026 began their senior year with the Senior Sunrise and finished the year with a beautiful Senior Sunset. This year, the sun cooperated and gave the seniors one last opportunity to enjoy spending time together and celebrating their last day of high school.
