Human anatomy and physiology is learning about the various tissues in the body. Students researched a given tissue type and then created a clay model. The class did a “gallery walk" around the room, to review the various tissues and then vote on their favorite one. It was a fun way to review this topic!!!

Today’s WBL shoutout goes to Raelyn, who is gaining hands-on, real-world clinical experience through her Work-Based Learning placement at Knight Dental in Midland.
Raelyn is mastering essential behind-the-scenes dental procedures. Instrument sanitation, safely handling, cleaning, and preparing instruments for sterilization. As well as, supply management, organizing sterilized equipment, and stocking inventory to keep treatment rooms ready for patients.

Work-based learning at the community center as a lifeguard has really helped my customer service skills. I feel much more confident talking to people, answering their questions, and asking for help or assigning tasks when needed. My lifeguard job has also taught me to stay focused on making sure everyone stays safe. I love my work-based learning job! - Madison Cole
The BCHS Varsity Band took the field for Marching Festival at St. John's High School this evening. They presented their marching show titled "As Seen on TV." You don't have to wait for reruns, you can catch their show tomorrow night at Meridian High School for the Glow Show or right here at home next Friday night! Our band scored an overall rating of a 1 (the highest rating). GO LANCERS!

Session two of The Breaking Bread Village's Heart of Leadership Workshop left students reflective and inspired to be intentionally kind, practice empathy, and understand that we are all the same in that we all have challenges to manage.
