Some of our K-2 classes at Floyd enjoyed books by a campfire and s’mores as part of their Valentine’s Day parties. What a great way to celebrate friendships.

Mrs. Clark, our school counselor, focused on empathy when she visited Mr. Gusler's first graders. Students learned about giving others hope and practiced their skills using puppet friends, Puppy and Snail. --Mrs. Moses, Floyd Elementary

As we recognize National School Counseling Week, I am sharing one of my very favorite pictures of Floyd's school counselor, Mrs. Kristie Clark. This is from a visit with my 5th grade class four years ago. The mutual respect and care for each other is something I vividly remember from when I took this picture. How lucky we are to be building such loving relationships! I am also sharing the link from her TV interview for winning an Excellence in Education Award from the Michigan Lottery last year.
