Are you ready for some lights!? ⛄🌟🎄Tonight, Friday, Dec. 8, from 6-7:30 PM, the BC/PR PTO Stay in Your Sleigh Holiday Parade is set to dazzle and delight at BCEL! Buckle up for a reverse parade and a drive-through light experience. Keep your eyes peeled for some treats throughout the route – snag a free kids' hot chocolate coupon from the delightful Journeys Coffeehouse, and deck your home with some Creek swag courtesy of the fabulous Lakeside Creative Shop! Here are a few key reminders to ensure you have a holly-jolly time: - Navigate the sparkling path starting at the BC South Little League ball fields on Miller Rd. There is a slightly modified route this year; follow the traffic director, cones, and arrows to keep the holiday spirit flowing smoothly. - Please be respectful of Miller Rd. residents trying to make their way in or out of their driveways. - Embrace the anticipation of a 30+ minute drive-through experience – though with the holiday magic, time might just fly by! - While the event is a gift to the community, feel free to spread the cheer by making donations. Contributions will be divvied up among various Bullock Creek nonprofit and school organizations, including BC/PR PTO, Journeys Coffeehouse, BC Girl Scouts, BCMS Student Council, and BlitzCreek Robotics. So, fasten your seatbelts, bring your holiday spirit, and let's make this a night to remember! Be safe, be festive, and have a wonderful ride!

Mrs. Woods’ class had a great time at the CNC today! We learned about life in the lives of the 1870 farm families. We loved learning how to grind corn, feed the farm animals, saw logs, and pump water. These are just a few of the chores we learned about! We had so much fun!!!!

Mrs. Duhoski's 2nd graders use a gratitude jar in their room to recognize all the things they can be grateful for throughout their day. On Friday's they read the slips turned in recognition of the students or adults that they were grateful for throughout the week. I was recognized today for my expressed gratitude for all of my Little Lancers. After the slips are read the students and adults who were recognized stand up and the entire class earns an extra minute of recess for each nomination. Thank you for inviting me, 2nd graders!! I sure am grateful for each and every one of you!! And ...I am grateful for Mrs. Duhoski and all the wonderful things she does with her amazing 2nd graders!

Next week is our homecoming! BCEL is excited for all the spirit days, the parade, and the game! Our spirit week will conclude with a parade and football game on Friday, September 29th.   BCEL is not walking in the parade but we encourage you all to find a spot along Stewart Rd or at the High School to watch all the attractions.  We are looking forward to a fun week.

This week BCEL was lucky enough to have volunteers, directed by the CNC, come and work on some nature projects! We are so grateful for their time and hard work! Volunteers worked on building rain barrel platforms for our new rain barrels that will be installed, replacing stumps in seating areas that needed to be refreshed, and removing invasive Buckhorn that is found back in our nature areas. Thank you so much to Mrs. Pretzer, Mr. Frisbee, and Mr. Marcus for coordinating all of these efforts! And especially to all the volunteers that worked so hard! BCEL appreciates all of your work!!
