
Students in Miss Camp's classroom enjoyed wearing their Grinch clothes and Santa hats.



Mrs. Griggs led fifth grade students from Pine River, and fourth and fifth grade students from Floyd at the Dow Gardens Christmas walk on Thursday night. The students had so much fun spreading Christmas cheer as they sang many different Christmas carols for the community. Thanks to everyone who came out to sing or enjoy the carols!

Pine River students are enhancing their reading fluency with repeated readings and engaging in Reader’s Theaters.

In recognition of National Kindness Week, yesterday was Step Up & Stand Out: Crazy Socks Day at Pine River Elementary. It's a visual reminder for each one of us to be an up-stander by stepping up and saying something when we see or hear someone being unkind.

Dr. Bob Strom visited a fifth grade classroom at Pine River Elementary to discuss elements, energy and matter. Science Bob brought some neat experiments that got the students excited about science. We look forward to future visits!




Fifth Grade students from Pine River Elementary participated in Northwood University's GO MAD day on Friday, November 3. The students rotated through six different activities and had lunch in the cafeteria. Thank you, Northwood University, for inviting us to participate!

Students in Mrs. Bradley‘s 5th grade class have been exploring Indigenous people groups, the diverse regions they lived in, and the resources available in each region. Students researched the homes built by these groups and constructed replicas of homes to model the resources and materials used. We love your creativity!





Miss Jen and Miss Karen from the Grace A. Dow Memorial Library recently visited the fourth graders at Pine River Elementary. Many of you already know about the free- and low-cost resources that the library has to offer, but did you know that adults can also check out board games, yard games, binge boxes, craft kits, discovery kits, and puzzles? They even have a telescope, hammock, and metal detector available! Pine River students have been enjoying the new 9-Square playground equipment the BCEL/PR PTO purchased and installed.



After letting the cement cure, volunteers returned to Pine River Elementary to remove the forms and to cut lines into the cement.




Pine River Elementary is excited to have Trinseo and Three Rivers employees volunteer their time and resources to provide a beautiful outdoor space for our students. On September 1, volunteers poured cement for the new area.



Thursday, June 8, the annual Field Day/Picnic Day was held at Pine River Elementary. The weather cooperated, the food was delicious and a great time was had by all. A huge thank you to Mr. VanCise who organized the Field Day activities, the BCEL/PR PTO who funded the picnic portion and to all of the volunteers who helped make the day successful!
