Happy National Counselor Week to Mrs. Jackie Fermoyle! Mrs. Fermoyle is Bullock Creek Middle School's counselor and works with students on a regular basis assisting in the academic, social and emotional well-being of our students. In addition to these things, her office is busy throughout the day with students stopping in to chat about different things, asking for advice on a given situation, checking in for a "chill" after having a rough night at home or popping in for a piece of candy or gum. Mrs. Fermoyle loves and cares about every student at BCMS and we are lucky to have her on our team. Her dedication to meeting the needs of our students is one of the things that makes BCMS a great place to be. Thank you for all you do Mrs. Fermoyle.

Students in sixth grade science are exploring materials with insulative qualities to prevent thermal energy transfer from the inside to the outside of their Hot Pop Cozies. They planned and engineered a plan to create the cozies and will test with very hot water the quality of their finished products.

BCMS student council was delighted to be a part of the Stay in your Sleigh Light Parade hosted by BC/PR PTO this past Friday evening. They were full of holiday cheer, joy and maybe just a little bit of elf mischief, too.

Using the skills they learned in Chapter 2, students in Miss White's 6th grade math class were tasked with planning a vacation while being given a budget of $5,000. They were required to book a flight, pay for a hotel, restaurants, entertainment, and souvenirs. They worked as a team to research different places and ideas and learned that they had to make compromises in order to get things done. Some of the students even got to make slideshows and present their vacation to the class!

The student’s not only decorate and deliver snacks, but they also hand write individual thank you cards to each and every staff member in our building. We were also so very fortunate to partner with Journey’s Coffeehouse, who provided us with delicious coffee! We are THANKFUL for our wonderful Creek Community! 🖤💛

Bullock Creek Middle School would like to thank everyone involved in making our Food Drive a success. Once again we've collected enough food and money to provide several families with a Thanksgiving meal this holiday season. A HUGE thank you to our student council who took the time to organize the food drive and a well-deserved CONGRATULATIONS to our 8th grade for collecting the most food!

Student's in Mrs. Benson's 6th grade art class have been learning about one-point perspective for the last week. Today, the students are finally on their last worksheet before beginning their big project. The students split into two mini-classrooms and took turns teaching the class. They taught one another, helped one another, called on one another for questions...and laughed a lot while pretending to be me. Who says worksheets have to be boring?!
