Students in Mrs. Benson's Middle School Art classes have been ending the year strong with presentations all week long. Just look who we had today- Salvador Dali is alive and well paid us a visit!

We had a great night recognizing our 8th graders who will be moving on to the high school next year. These kids have worked hard during their time at the middle school and are ready for this next step. Congratulations!

Students in our Project Lead The Way (PLTW) class programmed robots to trace the letters of "LANCERS" in our Care Center area. PLTW is a hands-on STEM program that empowers students to develop problem-solving and critical thinking skills through real-world challenges. These photos capture the excitement and teamwork as students brought their robotic calculations to life!

Last Friday, BCMS hosted the 5th graders from Pine River and Floyd Elementary for their annual 6th Grade Orientation. This year's theme was "Under The Big Top," and our Peer 2 Peer group got to run the carnival. Throughout the second semester, 5th-grade students were paired with 6th-grade pen pals and wrote letters back and forth. Students got to meet their pen pals, play some fun carnival games, learn all about the middle school, and get all their questions answered about life at the BCMS. It was a beautiful day, and all of the students had a blast. We are looking forward to welcoming you to BCMS in the fall.

Our middle school art students have been having a blast working with clay, creating fun and unique pieces in class! The finished projects look amazing and showcase the creativity and effort each student put in. Best of all, students get to take their clay creations home as special keepsakes to remember their hard work and artistic journey.

Congratulations to the phenomenal Lancers Who Lead recipients for the month of April! These students were recognized by their teachers for their exemplary acts of character.
Alexander Willette, Morgan Kennedy, Avery Blackmer, Harlow Fisher, Katelyn Dast, Tucker Rhynard, Lucy Petsch, Quincy Richards (not pictured), and Lilly Craig (not pictured).

Our final home track meet of the year was a tremendous success, filled with school spirit, determination, and outstanding performances from our student-athletes. The stands were packed with cheering families and friends. Thank you to everyone who came out to help make the event such a memorable experience!

Our middle schoolers love to display their art in the hallways. Mrs. Benson does a great job creating unique projects for our students. Here are a few samples from second semester.

Today our BCMS 7th Grade Band performed the National Anthem at the Loons Game! Not only were they the featured group to play the anthem, they also performed it by MEMORY!

It was a perfect day for our 7th graders to attend a Great Lakes Loons' baseball game. The cherry on the top was that our 7th grade band performed the Star-Spangled Banner before the first pitch. Needless to say, we all had a great time!

Spring break is here! What an amazing week it's been at BCMS! From the wacky mixed up Monday to the final Comic Character day today; spirit week was a blast! Thank you to everyone who participated. Here's a look at some of our favorite moments!

Congratulations to Bullock Creek Middle School's fantastic Lancers who Lead for the month of March! 6th grade: Katelyn Guest, Emily Beckman & Octaviah Ebenhoeh; 7th grade: Hudson Rey, Clark Dufort & Vada Ware; 8th grade: Pierce Schwanda, Bailey Albee & Alyson Yonkey.

Our middle school’s production of Bedtime Stories (As Told by Our Dad) opened last night to an enthusiastic crowd! This light-hearted comedy features three fun and quirky plays rolled into one which are told through the eyes of a dad reading bedtime stories to his kids. With a running time of just 1 hour and 15 minutes, it's the perfect way to enjoy an afternoon of laughs. Don’t miss the next show on Saturday, March 22, at 2:00 PM at Bullock Creek High School. Admission is just $5 for adults and $3 for youth. We hope to see you there for this entertaining and heartwarming performance!

Bullock Creek Middle School's 8th graders got to participate in the Reality Store on Wednesday, March 5th. During this time, the students got the opportunity to see what real life might be like for them. Students visited booths manned by local community members. Each student was given "a salary" based on their chosen career where they "paid" their monthly bills using their digital checkbook registry. Thank you to the Midland County ESA's Career and Technical Education department for helping us with this great event.

Congratulations to our 7th and 8th grade basketball teams for securing victories over St. Louis at our last home game of season! Good job boys!

Congratulations to our phenomenal BCMS Lancers Who LEAD for the month of February! 6th Grade: Vincent Jones, Allison DuFort & Eliana Krotzer; 7th Grade: Morgan Doolan, Raegan Peters & Corbin Noack; 8th Grade: Sofia Forshee, Nathan Blasdell & Briana Bredt.

Shout out to the incredible bus drivers who keep BCMS moving! Today BCMS Student Council representatives recognized our hard working bus drivers with a little treat and a lot of APPRECIATION!

In celebration of Random Acts of Kindness Day, the BCMS Peer 2 Peer group set up a Gratitude Station in the library during lunch. Students and staff were invited to come in and fill out positive notes to send to someone to brighten their day. The notes were collected and delivered to that special someone.

Our Middle School robotics kids had the opportunity to work with some big tools, with the help of our wonderful mentors. They got to measure, cut, size, and screw wood together to make an organizer to make our off-season event in May!
