BCHS

Dear BCHS Families,

A few notes for this upcoming week…

1.  Students who need some extra academic help are encouraged to attend our After School Intervention program (ASI).  This program offers a quiet place to work with teacher support.  This is a drop in program that runs every Tuesday & Wednesday from 2:50-4:05 in room 11D.

2.  REMINDER – If a student is absent from school, they may NOT attend any after school events.

3.  Halloween – Students are welcome to dress up for Halloween, BCHS has designated Friday, October 29th for this option.  All costumes must meet the standard dress code.  Additional restrictions include, no masks (except for the ones the district requires), no weapons, blood, guts or gore.

4.  A note from the counseling office…
The Mid-Michigan Chapter of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (MMAIChE) is offering a scholarship for Michigan Technological University’s (MTU) Summer Youth Program to promote the education of potential future engineers.  Applications are being accepted until November 22, 2021.
The Pre-College Exploration Program offers one-week courses at the MTU campus that give high school students an opportunity to explore careers and develop skills in engineering and science.  The students will participate in laboratory, classroom and field experiences in a selected career area.
The scholarship is awarded to a high school student in grades 9-11 in the Great Lakes Bay region. It covers tuition, room and board plus a $100 travel allotment for a one-week session at the MTU Summer Youth Program.
