Career prep isn’t just for highschoolers! This week our school counselor, Mrs. Clark, hosted a career café to help second and third graders connect who they are today with who they can become tomorrow.
In her classroom lessons, Mrs. Clark has been helping students identify their personal strengths and interests to show them how they connect to a future career path. By starting these conversations early, every student has the opportunity to build confidence to dream big! We are so grateful to the professionals who visited to inspire the next generation.

The Rotary Club of Midland Morning celebrated local teachers this evening and Mrs. Hollee Hart was one of them. She received an Inspirational Teacher Award for her dedication to literacy. Floyd Elementary hearts are full as we celebrate this and her upcoming retirement. 🖤💛

Floyd Kindergarten and first grade students had a morning of adventures on Feelings Island. Students moved through each classroom as they learned how to care for their emotions and practiced building confidence through positive affirmations.

What fills my principal heart? Today it was when two 3rd graders entered a 5th grade classroom to record a reading goal, and the 5th graders stopped what they were doing to celebrate them. Unprompted.
I'm so proud to spend my days at Floyd. 🖤💛 ~Mrs. Moses
During this National School Counseling Week, Floyd Elementary is celebrating Mrs. Kristie Clark. Whether we are students or staff, she teaches us how to be our best even during our hardest times. Our school would not be the place it is without her dedication to us all. 🖤💛
