Floyd News and Notes

Dear Families,

I hope you’ve enjoyed your weekend. As we plan for next week, I have some things to share:

  • VOLUNTEERS NEEDED for helping in the PTO’s holiday gift shop the week of December 12th. If you are available to help, please let Ms. Amanda, a PTO member, or me know. We’ll get connected to the right person. As with all other volunteer positions, a Bullock Creek background check will need to be completed but that’s quick and easy. If you’ve already passed one for us, you’re all set.

  • The Floyd PTO and Staff are hosting a holiday craft night on Wednesday, December 14th from 5:30-6:30. I hope you can join us! The Penguin Patch will also be open for shopping that evening.

  • Please encourage your child to dress for the weather each day. Our students go outside for a minimum of 25 minutes and our K-2 Nature Classrooms are outside an additional 45-60 minutes. Thanks to generous donations, we have extra coats if you ever find yourself in a pinch and need one for your child. We’re finding our older students are the ones most often not bringing their coats.

  • We are often in need of snow pants. If you have any old pairs you’d like to donate, please think of us.

  • Please find the December lunch menu attached as well some additional community offerings.

Have a wonderful week!

 Mrs. Moses
