Floyd News and Notes: September 12th

Dear Families,

We celebrated the close of KinderCamp and the beginning of  our kindergarteners joining their kindergarten classroom family. It was so special to come together as a school family and experience this together. Please ask your child about it. As we plan for next week, I have just a few things to share:

  • The drop-off and pick-up lines are flowing well for the start of the year. Beginning Monday, we have preschool families joining the line for the first time. Please continue to show caution as those families learn the procedure.

  • Please join us on Tuesday, September 13th from 5:30-7 to attend brief teacher presentations for each of your children. (See attached schedule)

  • The Free and Reduced Lunch Forms are required by all families throughout the district. If you need another copy, please call and we’ll send one home with your child. As we continue to collect and identify those missing, we’ll reach out to you for help in getting yours to us. This is extremely important for school funding.

  • Morning drop off is anytime between 8:40-8:55. Please do not leave your child outside the school before the doors open at 8:40 as there is no supervision prior to 8:40.

  • If interested in a BC’s vaccination clinic, please see the attached flyer.

  • Candy donations are requested for the Homecoming Parade. If you’d like to donate or walk with us, please do. We’d love to have you!

Have a wonderful week!

Mrs. Moses
