Floyd News and Notes: April 11th

Floyd Families-

As we approach the beginning of a new week, I have just a few things to share with you:

  • Last week was a week of wet weather! Many kids suited up and took it like a champ; not allowing the rain to ruin the Chippewa Nature Center and Hartley field trips. Please consider having your child pack extra socks and pants in case of wet feet or legs after playing outside.

  • Many teachers use Remind to communicate with families but the day gets busy and the nature area doesn’t have the best cell service. Please give Ms. Amanda a call if your message is something needing attention  by the end of the day.

  • Thank you to our families in the drop off/pick up line for continuing to be safe, alert, and keeping the line moving. Our cars that are parking in the pick up line now and again appear to be grandparents or someone unfamiliar with drop off. When possible, please share our “keep moving or choose a parking spot” directions with family and friends who are helping out.

  • A charter bus will be at the very front of the drop off line (between the entrance and the stop sign) on Tuesday morning. Please use caution as our 4th graders load for their Lansing trip.

  • Thursday is a ½ day for students with a 12:05 dismissal. No school on Friday (district holiday).

Have a wonderful week!  -Mrs. Moses
