Floyd News and Notes: March 14th

Floyd Families-

As we approach the beginning of a new week, here are a few things to share with you:

  • We are a week away from the Book Fair and are in need of volunteers to run the cash register for students for parts of the day. If this is something you can help with, Floyd Elementary PTO-Bullock Creek Facebook page is where you’ll find the sign up sheet. You can also contact Ms. Amanda or me and we’ll connect you with the volunteer coordinator.

  • Mark your calendar for a Book Fair and Family Night at Floyd on March 23rd! We’re excited to be able to welcome families into the building and into our nature areas from 5:45-6:45pm. Please join us!

  • We will continue our March is Reading Month activities this week for any and all who choose to participate. (see calendar attached)

  • Girls on the Run is back! Ms. Collison and Ms. Pretzer are coaching one team up to 15 girls. Please use this link to sign up. Practices begin April 4th. (Mon. & Wed. from 3:40-5:15PM)

  • We are reviewing and reteaching bus expectations for all of our riders. Any help you can provide at home to ensure your student is remaining seated, only moving when the bus is stopped, and speaking respectfully to peers and the driver is extremely appreciated. Students who ride safely and respectfully will continue to have the opportunity to ride the school bus.

Have a wonderful week!  -Mrs. Moses
