Floyd News and Notes: February 13th

Floyd Families-

As we approach the beginning of a new week, here are a few things to share with you:

  • I love starting the day out front greeting the kids getting dropped off! Thank you for driving carefully and for keeping the line moving. If you are walking your child to the doors, please remember to use a parking spot. Also, if you pull along the pick up line, PLEASE GO SLOWLY.

  • It’s enrollment time! Do you know a student considering kindergarten next year? Please encourage them to give us a call.

  • We’re looking to grow our paraprofessional sub list again. If you enjoy working with kids for a few hours here and there, this may be a job for you! Our needs vary from all day to just the 11-1PM lunch and recess hours. Give us call or send me an email.

  • We still need plastic lids! Please send in butter, coffee, sour cream--any flexible lid--for a school wide trail activity we are planning.

  • If your child is exposed to COVID-19 outside of school and intends to continue being at school as a close contact, it’s important that we work together to respond appropriately at school. We can help with testing and a mask will be required. Please call Ms. Amanda for guidance. Your help is extremely appreciated.

  • Any student waiting for the results of a COVID-19 test must remain out of school until the results are known. Students will be marked excused for those days.

Have a wonderful week!  -Mrs. Moses
