Floyd News and Notes: January 31st

Floyd Families-

I hope you had an enjoyable weekend and found time to do something that makes you happy. As we approach the beginning of a new week, here are a few things to share with you:

  • We need plastic lids! Please send in butter, coffee, sour cream--any flexible lid--for a school wide trail activity we are planning.

  • Do you have a child or know a child who is planning on starting kindergarten in the fall? We’re hosting a Kindergarten Round-Up from 6-7PM this Thursday.

  • If your child is exposed to COVID-19 outside of school and intends to continue being at school as a close contact, it’s important that we work together to respond appropriately at school. We can help with testing and a mask will be required. Please call Ms. Amanda for guidance. Your help is extremely appreciated.

  • Please be sure your child’s winter gear is labeled with his/her name. If you need help with warm gear for your child, please contact us. Recess will be held outside unless the weather conditions are such to cause the playground unsafe, the temperature is below 15℉, or the wind chill factor is below zero.

  • Any student waiting for the results of a COVID-19 test must remain out of school until the results are known. Students will be marked excused for those days.

Have a wonderful week!  -Mrs. Moses
