Floyd News and Notes: December 13th

Floyd Families-

I hope you had a wonderful weekend and made it through the high winds on Saturday with little to no trouble. Here are a few things to share with you:

  • Monday marks our first day of spirit week. Days are meant to be fun--nothing fancy--so students may participate as much or as little as they wish. (see note to the right with all days listed)

  • Sharing Tree gift pick up will take place on Wednesday, December 15th from 9am to 7pm at Floyd Church of God. (see note in bottom right of newsletter)

  • Floyd Elementary has been invited to attend a Christmas band concert at Bullock Creek High School the morning of December 21st. We will all travel by bus on that day to participate.

  • Thank you to our PTO and volunteers who helped make the Penguin Patch a success last week.

  • Please be sure your child’s winter gear is labeled with his/her name. If you need help with warm gear for your child, please contact us. Recess will be held outside unless the weather conditions are such to cause the playground unsafe, the temperature is below 15℉, or the wind chill factor is below zero.

  • Any student waiting for the results of a COVID-19 test must remain out of school until the results are known. Students will be marked excused for those days.

Have a wonderful week!  -Mrs. Moses
