6th & 7th Grade MStep testing will continue tomorrow, Thursday, May 12, 2022, with Math portion. Testing takes place from 7:45 am - 11:00 am. Please note, that if your student arrives late, they may not take the test. They will have to take it on a make-up day. Please encourage your student to do their best, eat a good breakfast and get a good night's rest.
All Mackinac Island money and forms are due on Friday, May 13th for the 8th grade trip.
Friday, May 13th is also a half-day of school. BCMS dismisses at 10:30 a.m.
Thursday, May 19th is 5th-grade orientation. Students who are in 5th grade have the opportunity to come to the middle school, tour the building, and see what a day is like at the middle school.
On May 30th there is no school in observance of Memorial Day.
The Grace A. Dow Memorial Library is looking for teen volunteers over the summer. This is a great opportunity to earn volunteer hours for graduation or club credit. To be a part of the VolunTeen program, you must be entering grades 7-12 in the Fall, but you DO NOT need to have a library card or live in the City of Midland. Responsibilities will include handing out summer reading prizes, helping with the Friends of the Library Booksale, helping with children’s events, and more! Teens can sign up for as many or as few hours as they want, but everyone must attend one of our orientation sessions on May 18 and 19. You can register on the library calendar or go to gadml.org/volunteen and fill out the google form to let us know you’re interested.
